Religious Links -

I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that we must have Biblical authority for all that we do. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He built only one church (Matt. 16:18) and that church is the one described in the New Testament. I do not claim that all of these links are scripturally correct, and the Bible should always be the final answer to any questions, not an Internet site. However, these sites may provide help as you study your Bible. Subcategories are Bible Study Links and Church Links.

Florida College - FC is a private college in Temple Terrace, Florida. It is NOT a church college, but it's faculty and staff are all members of the church of Christ. FC receives no funds from churches.

We have almost doubled in size over the last year, with 12 new members just since we moved into our building on July 10, 2005! The saints at Garden Ridge are some of the best in the world!

Millersville (Tennessee) church of Christ - this is where Beverly's family attends.

Zion, Illinios church of Christ - maintained by David Padfield, this site has some very good materials that can be downloaded in .pdf format. He also provides a variety of graphics that can be used on Web pages, PowerPoint presentations or other media.

Travel Related Links -

These links might help you get where you are going. The airlines listed are ones I fly fairly often. My nephew works for Southwest, so I have a family connection there. Subcategories are Airline Links, Automobile Rental Links and Miscellaneous Travel Links.

Airline Links -

Alaska Airlines - Alaska Airlines now has a non-stop flight to Washington, D.C., leaving from Seattle, Washington.

American Airlines - haven't flown AA very many times, so don't have much to say about them.

Delta Airlines - another airline I used quite a bit, although not my favorite. After a few delays over the years, we decided Delta stands for Don't Ever Leave The Airport! Usually have friendly employees.

Horizon Airlines - a very good regional airline for the northwest. They are a sister company to Alaska Airlines.

Northwest Airlines - another one that I fly. You can use your Alaska/Horizon miles with Northwest.

Southwest Airlines - a good site to always check when looking for airline tickets. Flying Southwest is a lot like traveling by Greyhound Bus, you never know where you are going to stop. But it is probably my favorite airline. The employees generally make your flight fun! Southwest also has a lot of promotional and Internet specials, such as $99 one way anywhere in the U.S. that Southwest flies into. Look under "schedules".

United Airlines - used to be my favorite. I still fly it some and still have my frequent flyer miles.

Automobile Rental Links -

Avis Car Rental - an okay car rental company.

Budget Car Rental - rent fairly low-cost cars online - this is the company I used most often.

Dollar Car Rental - another good car rental company.

Enterprise Car Rental - one we used a lot in Oregon, not as much though in Texas.

Miscellaneous Travel Links -

Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) - the FAA site has a real-time airport status link. Plus it is a pretty good site to figure out where you are going when you get your flight itinerary and see all those strange airport abbreviations such as GEG for Spokane, Washington or ORD for Chicago, Illinois.

Oregon Department of Transportation - this site gives road conditions, construction work and accident info for Oregon roads. A good site to visit before a trip.

MySanAntonio - this site provides a lot of information about San Antonio, including traffic updates and traffic web cams. San Antonio is one of America's ten largest cities, with a population of approximately 1.5 million. However, if you don't mind large cities go, it is a great place to live.

Travelocity - check out this site for comparison prices on airlines, hotels, rental cars and other travel related services. Your Internet travel agent.

Sports and News Links -

I enjoy Southeastern Conference (SEC) Football. I also enjoy checking out the daily news over the Internet because it is usually more current than newspapers. Try out a few of these links and see what you think. Subcategories are News (TV Stations) Links, Newspaper Links and Sports Links.

News (TV Stations) Links -

CNN News - get all the up-to-date news anytime of the day. It's better than the newspaper, unless you want local news.

FOX News - FOX News is a little more conservative than CNN, if you can consider any media conservative.

KATU TV - this Portland, Oregon site provides pretty good coverage of Northwestern Oregon.

KGW Northwest Newschannel 8 - Another Oregon station that has a pretty good site.

KOIN 6 News - KOIN 6 is a Portland, Oregon television station. This is a source of a little more local nature than CNN, USA and MS NBC.

KPTV Channel 12 News - one more for the local Oregon touch in news.

MS NBC News - one more place to look for all the current news.

WOAI 4 News - this is a San Antonio TV station that has good local news coverage

Newspaper Links -

The Birmingham News - this is my hometown newspaper from Birmingham, Alabama -- however, the website isn't all that great.

Corvallis Gazette-Times - when we lived in Oregon this was our local newspaper.

USA Today - check out USA Today without having to pay 50 cents. Another good news source.

Sports Links -

CBS Sports - another good sports site for all the sports. This is a great site to get live scores on teams.

ESPN Sports - this site provides more than just SEC sports. Check out all your teams.

Southeastern Conference (SEC) Sports - find out what's happening in all SEC sports. One of my favorite sites for the Fall so I can know where my favorite SEC team (Auburn) is in the top 25. Sometimes Auburn is not there (like several times in the 2007 season), but I can still find out what's going on. In 2004 Auburn went 13-0 - I am hoping we can relive that year again soon, but the 2007 year has not been the greatest!

Miscellaneous Links -

These are just a variety of unrelated links. Some are informative, some are fun and some are just links. There are no subcategories.

Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization -- the Pacific Northwest is known for its sightings of the legendary Bigfoot, or Sasquatch. This is an interesting site, whether a Bigfoot believer or not. Am I a BF believer? Well -- I've never seen or heard one, but . . .

Civil War Reenactments - if you are interested in the Civil War visit this reenactment site. A lot of good information and more links.

Google Maps - this is a really cool site! You can check out your own neighborhood with actual satellite photos and sort of "fly over" the area. You can also add highways, boundaries, etc.

Leo's Icons Archives - icons galore -- a lot of neat icons that you can download, like this Dilbert icon or this hamburger icon.

Kelley Blue Book - this is the site if you are either trying to sell a car or want to buy one. See what the blue book value really is. It can really help on negotiating prices.

Maps - All Kinds -- this site has historical maps, current maps, outline maps -- a fun site to just visit if you like maps. This site has an extensive menu to take you to all kinds of places.

Maps - Color Landform Atlas of US - a neat site with all kinds of maps.

Real Time - cool site -- supposed to always be accurate to within 0.3 seconds! That's pretty accurate!

States and Capitals -- this site has tons of information about each state with more and more links. A very informative and educational site.

Sunrise and Sunset Times - this site will give you the sunrise and sunset times for cities anywhere, but only for one day at a time. A good site from the US Navy.

Sunrise/Sunset Calendar - this site will give you a monthly calendar with sunrise and sunset times for cities throughout the United States, as well as many cities in other countries. Another good site -- I use it for hunting times.

TV Guide Online - check out what's on the tube.

Weather Hubs - this site will let you check on the current weather conditions in cities across the U.S.

WeightWatchers - the WeightWatchers at home program is what I used to lose 45 pounds and nine inches off my waist. With the "At Home" program, you do not attend meetings - they send you all the information you need and provide six months telephone support. In my opinion, WeightWatchers is the most effective weight control program that has ever been on the market.
